The capital of UK is the largest metropolitan area and the most visited city in the world. That's why there are five international airports in London which make the city's airspace one of the busiest. Of course Heathrow is the largest one and it appears to be the second busiest in Europe after Charles de Gaulle in Paris. The airport has five terminals but only four of them are operating because the second one is under construction. The runways are two as there is a project for a third one and one more terminal as well but it was canceled in 2010. The second largest airport in London is Gatwick, popular with the busiest single-use runway. Another interesting thing about it is the great facilities it has on the both terminals.
