There is one place in London I have recently heard about. This is the business district Canary Wharf. The most remarkable about the area is that it is home of the tallest buildings in the UK as the most popular is One Canada Square. There are also some of the most luxurious London hotels.
Initially, the area was the busiest dock in the world. The first buildings in the new business district were finished in 1991 as well as One Canada Square, which was the tallest building in the UK until 2010. The construction was designed by Cesar Pelli and the most interesting of the building is the pyramid roof. One Canada Square is still one of the most popular London landmarks. It is used mainly for offices and even now it is considered as the most prestige office building.
When you visit this amazing place, do not surprise by the sound of moving water in the pyramid roof. It is pumped up to the roof in order to be used for general water requirements. The roof is very important part of the building because the window washing machines are stored there. Aircraft warning light which could be flashing or steady burning is also a major unit at the top of the pyramid.
