10 Unusual Things to do in London

There are always a standard list of attractions that visitors can visit while in London, but most of those will be positively drowning with visitors if you visit during the peak season, so we have some suggestions for things to see and do that are off the beaten path enough that you just might miss the crowds and have a great time anyhow. London is large enough that you won’t get to see all the cool stuff unless you manage an extended visit.
For those lucky enough to rent  holiday apartment London, the city will open itself up and show you things that you might have never considered on a package tour.

You can visit All Hallows, which is located next to the Tower of London. It is the oldest Church in the City of London and parts of the church date to 675 AD. You can even join professional actors dressed in period costumes aboard the Golden Hinde, a faithful recreation of the ship in which Sir Francis drake sailed around the world in the years between 1577-80.

You won’t even have to travel to Arizona to visit the original London Bridge. You can visit the church of St. Magnus the Martyr. And inside, as strange as it seems, you will find a wooden replica of the original. Take a few steps over the footbridge and see the strange Garden Barges tied off near St. Saviors Dock, or you can wander through the yacht marina at St. Katharine Docks for a quiet afternoon stroll and a light lunch and perhaps some shopping. The Ceremony of the Keys is an interesting, albeit short ceremony, which has been performed continuously for nearly 700 years. The City Hall is one of the most spectacular buildings London has to offer. On the other end of the spectrum, you can visit London’s Glassblowing Workshops. You will immediately understand why it is preferable to secure a holiday apartment London is just too large to see all at once. From vacation rentals London becomes much more accessible at a much slower pace.
